Summer nails contest: We have a winner

June 26, 2008

Thanks to everyone who sent along comments on their favorite summer nail shades.

We put all your names in a basket to pick the winner of our giveaway and it’s Grace Day of Lexington (favorite color — OPI’s Most Honorable Red). We’ll send Grace a copy of Rescue Your Nails by Ji Baek, founder of New York’s Rescue Beauty Lounge, and some of the latest nail colors from Essie.

OPI was the most popular brand with readers, hands down. Other popular colors: I’m Not Really a Waitress and Cajun Shrimp (that’s Cajun Shrimp on the far left and Honorable Red).

Check out everyone’s comments (you’ll find them on the June 20 and 25 blog posts) for tips on other cool shades.

Harriett HendrenWhile I grew up in small-town Kentucky I’ve always been fascinated with the cosmopolitan world of high fashion. On the other hand, I love a bargain and the thrill of shopping for just the right piece. I have a degree in English from the University of Kentucky, and since 2002 I’ve written a column for the Lexington Herald-Leader about shopping, beauty and fashion. During that time I’ve interviewed everyone from designers to boutique owners about trends and style. And I’m still forever searching for the next big sale.
